As more Jewish pilgrims visit Liska and Kerestir, the need for high-quality accommodations has significantly increased. Over 100 guest rooms are available to visitors, with numerous options offering kosher dining and modern amenities like high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and private bathrooms. The presence of these amenities has made pilgrimages more enjoyable, with the area hosting over 20,000 guests in the past decade.


Legacy of the Liska Rebbe and His Followers


In the 1800s, Tzvi Hirsh Liska, warmly known as Hershele Lisker, became an esteemed Jewish leader, admired for his teachings that attracted followers from all segments of society. The wisdom he shared inspired a generation of disciples, many of whom grew to become influential rabbis themselves. One of his most well-known disciples, Sayele Kerestir, carried forward the Liska Rebbe's teachings, offering blessings to many.

For many years, Kerestir has served as an essential pilgrimage site for Jewish visitors who come to pay tribute to Sayele Kerestir. His gravesite is regarded as a place where visitors are blessed with tranquility and fortitude. With more than 10,000 annual visitors, Kerestir's spiritual significance extends beyond its borders, influencing Jewish communities globally. Pilgrims commemorate Kerestir’s rich heritage by engaging in prayers, singing, and sharing stories that tie them to its lasting traditions.
